the early bird caught the wormi experienced the joys of waking up early today! a whole full day to start with!
never woke up so early for the longest time. 7am! gosh, seems to be aeons ago when i used to rise when the sun was still not high up in the sky (note that i didn't say when the sun rose or first glimmers of light, because i always seem to wake when it's already bright in the morning).
so had GBY today, together with my bleary-eyed lightstick-ers (my sg) we conquered the hills of fort canning, and emerged victorious we did! we won a prize!! much to our surprise and delight..
and to be honest our sg is nearly there already, nearly a registered sg with the sg ministry.. never really thought of this, cos i think we were so comfortable being an unregistered group still very much under the radar of the sg ministry, happily going for the sgl course, for related events like today's GBY and even the tri-annual earlier this year... that the thought of being unregistered, and that we should register didn't enter into our heads. however that being said, i'm glad it did now, with some nudging from the sg ministry, and with my group's newly appointed leaders that we'll grow in ways we can't fathom because only God can, and to thrust our group and lift each member up to Him.
and hmmm, how did the aforementioned paragraph just come about? ahhh, anyway don't think any of my fellow lightstick-ers will visit this blog.. so hah! for my own reference only!
i think it's really nice to look back at posts, and see how you've grown, or how things shape out to be.. it's heartening, and as you look back you do learn - sometimes we just move on, reading about the past sometimes gives us an opportunity to pick up missed lessons, or to reiterate certain experiences.
anyway wimbledon ladies final tonight at 9pm, my fave player versus the only other lady player i know who uses the same backhand as she. i hope it's going to be thrilling and great to watch.. you know in music there's something called virtuosity, it's the same with tennis, the flexiblity of play, the intelligence of choice of shots and brilliantly struck winners and well constructed points. it's like a surgeon, architect and piano maestro rolled into one tennis player on court.. and i must say for the guy players, watch federer on court, he's truly a living legend.. heard of pete sampras (which isn't too long ago), he's definitely in the same league if not he's charting his own league of his own, and only time will tell, but so far he's the best player on court, and a legend by all means.
foc this coming mon, i pray i pull it off well as program ic.. really do.
