music sets the mood. music uplifts the soul. music edifies.

so you can guess i'm probably going to talk about something music related. yea, bingo! more about non-secular songs for this post though. i'm really glad to have been introduced to christian artists like philipscraig&dean and jeremycamp in the past week itself. okay, so i knew about pcd before but it was only one song, this time i had a whole cd to listen to! as for jeremy camp it's only one song sent courtesty of des, but i liked the track very much.

i think music is a big part of my christian life, some people's is through prayer or doing, but personally for me it's music. somehow it touches me.. though i know prayer is still vital, reading the word probably comes slightly under it in importance... but music, is really special, and thank God for these wonderful artists! who glorify Him through the way they know best, through worship songs, hymns... not just philipscraig&dean, jeremycamp, but people like christomlin (definitely one of my fave artists), chrisrice, mattredman, michaelwsmith, donmoen, hillsongs, delirious, sonicflood, jarsofclay, and many many more.

and here's where i digress...

today was raining cats and dogs, made it to church somehow for the normal 1130 service. blogging about this because despite rev.lilian.ang not being known for her sermons, i honestly think they are pretty good. i mean a sermon does not need to entertain you for it to to be good.. and i suppose today what she said kind of struck a chord, together with recent ponderings, that i really should read the bible more (and was reminded of my goal to finish the entire NT by year's end), and earnestly continue to pray for the desire to want to do so...

should try attending traditional sometime though. :)
