new pictureas you'd probably noticed, the picture above is new.
it's been 2 years plus since i first picked up the sport, and i'm still loving every bit of it. maybe i might venture into new sports, but i sure won't drop my racket for long anytime soon. tennis is just such a wonderful game, it's a tactical, physical and mental sport.
love it.
ii'm considering taking up windsurfing or sailing, but i better improve my swimming strokes first. i just don't seem to be even able to complete 1 lap and not be breathless, think it's been too long since i attempted even a lap.
anyway i signed up for the ntu tennis open, don't know if it's a silly thing or not, because i really don't have much experience playing single matches. but that's precisely the point why i signed up, because i want to build of my singles experience. can't just stick to doubles all the time you know.
should be sleeping soon. actually i told myself to at least read through my notes a bit, since i've been skipping quite a few lects. somehow everyone's learning new and interesting things, but i don't seem to be learning new things, or if i am they are old things which are taught in a new way, but just not interesting in any bit. don't know what to say really... i hope my uni becomes more fun.
one thing though, i hate lab, i absolutely abhor lab. i'll never become a full-time researcher (i hope this statement doesn't come back to haunt me with time). just like how i said i'll never ever major in chem in university, and look what i'm doing now. thing is chem is never my first choice, i've always wanted medicine, just that by the most unfortunate of events, i missed the med cut-off overseas by 1 pt. sad. so yes i'm stuck with chem, i just hope somehow i'll get 2nd upper honours by the end of 4 years.
sunny came today, i shall really pick a new name for it. anyway i drove it twice, back home from toa payoh, and somewhat around the estate (ie not out of balestier). the only downside is that i cannot go above 80km/h as the car needs to 'run in'. not really sure what is that, but it's sort of a precautionary measure so as to avoid spoiling the engine. the next one week or so is going to be terrible, imagine being unable to go above 80 on the expressway all the way to boon lay...
