all nostalgictan mentioned that she was missing ij a lot this week. funny, i was just eating just now, and the song on my playlist was at the beginning, by richard marx and donna lewis. listening to the lyrics closely, i could feel nostalgic setting in... there would always be a dedication song after mass (held for special events like youth day, teachers' day, chinese new year, etc). and to be honest, the only 2 parts i like about the mass is
1) greeting of peace, where everyone will just embrace each other with such warmness, truly the ij spirit exuding from each and every girl
2) the dedication song right at the end of these mass, where we'll just sway, left to right, right to left, like we're at some concert, the only difference is we swayed in unity, by showing that we treasure each others friendship, and our time together.
coincidentally so, the song playing right now is 'if we hold on together', the land before time theme song. this song is also very special at heart, in fact i think every ij girl during my time, from ij primary will know this song. this song was meant to be song to the p6s as a farewell song. it never failed to stir up the tear glands.
'if we hold on together
i know our dreams will never die
dreams see us through to forever
as high as souls can fly
the clouds roll by
for you and i' -if we hold on together, diana ross
