i've been a bookworm of late. which is good actually, considering all i do nowadays (especially now that my driving lessons have come to a halt) is eat, sleep, read, watch some tv, go out occassionally, and the cycle repeats itself. i need to get a job, i know i do, but i don't want an office job. i will persevere in finding a tuition kid, i will! hopefully i'll be victorious soon... hehe.
anyway i applied to all 3 universities. yes la, i'm so kiasu. sigh, was thinking about how i really should have not given up on math when i went to jc, too late for regrets tho. with that said, i know i'm truly blessed still, and though i didn't do stellarly, i'm still very grateful, for i know it could have been worst.
i need to get so many presents, pam, val, grace. got tan's pressie already. i think i should buy a BIG piece of cardboard paper and make cards. thing is my art sucks, and it requires patience which i do not have. see how la!
anyway the main pt of this post is introducing my favourite author - c.s. lewis. book recommendation time! read the chronicles of narnia, there's 7 books altogether, starting from 'the lion, the witch and the wardrobe', followed by 'the magician's nephew'. although it is listed that 'the lion, the witch and the wardrobe' is the 2nd book, it's actually the first. anyway, do get your hands on it! i'm currently finishing the 3rd book, 'the horse and the boy'.
if you are not interested in childrens books, he has a wide collection of adult books too. you can start from 'mere christianity'. word of advice though, his books are not frivolous, but quite deep, so if you don't feel like processing stuff, and just want a book where you can follow, read the chronicles of narnia.
maybe i'll have book reviews up soon...
