wow! was out of the house from 2.30 to 9.45pm today. went for training eh, geez, i still can't serve well, what's wrong man? ran 2.4km again today! wasn't that bad tho... think listening to music as you're running really helps... like some war dance or song you know? can understand why in the course of history some countries had people playing music during a battle, like for morale and all, was it the bagpipes?
played bridge with yh, pris and jh. we got chased outta e foodcourt we were eating in (novena sq2 food junction). actually not really chased out.. more of like told we couldn't play cards in there. oh ya, i'm going to digress but for goodness sake! why can't we play bridge in public places? why, why, why?! it's not as if we're gambling for goodness sake, like it's an intellectual game furthermore! like maybe people cannot differentiate whether we're gambling or what but sorry i don't see any money involved and we does it look like we're playing blackjack or poker? maybe we could gamble playing bridge though i've seriously never heard of it before. like hello! bridge is a game, it's like recognised.. i mean you have bridge club as a cca in school, so it should be somewhat moe approved and there's bridge competitions in country clubs and such and even bridge clubs there. so maybe, those people stopping us from playing bridge in public are trying to tell us that it's only a game for the rich and wealthy, the elitist and such. hmmmm, maybe eh? if they can permit arcades and pool venues which to my opinion are more shady and 'illegal' if i might add... why the heck can't we play bridge in say a foodcourt or eating place?! so they have reverse bungy jumping but somehow people are not allowed to indulge in a safer 'sport' if you might call it. i don't see any sense...
okay, so after this security guard or was it the manager told us that we weren't allowed to play inside we went out to the fountain there. i must say that spot is a much cooler place, both physically and aesthetically to play bridge. though a little straining on the eyes 'cos it was less lit then the previous venue, i must say it was like a mini picnic. heh... after that took pics with the christmas decorations and all... shall post them up soon!
