i finally tried the nel (north-east line) today. funny thing is, why is it called the north-east line when it runs from the north-east to the south-west, shouldn't it be called north-east-south-west line, like nesw or what. weird names/ acronyms that those people planning the names have come up with, some salient examples:
central expressway, cte, shouldn't it be ce?
seletar expressway, sle, shouldn't it be se?
bukit timah expressway (i think), bke, shouldn't it be bte?
and those people who place those signs. some, actually quite a number of signs are quite misleading. you place a sign there and it has an arrow that indicates a particular direction for a place but somehow the sign is placed too early? never experienced that before? i have, couple of times even, and i'm only a passenger, not the driver. oh well..... remaking singapore committee, look into this small little thing eh. our public transport is good but certainly even the best things can be improved, like please shorten the waiting time for some buses, esp. 105, quite a number of people take it but it does take pretty long to come.
oh well, just came back from my tennis bbq thing, pretty alright, just that not much mingling between j1s and j2s. this bbq was for the guys in tennis, so yea, we just went along somehow. too yawny to type any further. good night.
