i was just reminscing the times in cj. i was thinking... the two career choices i have in mind is, teaching and medicine. like teaching?? azaria... -knock knock- i think you'll prob. kill the kids before you actually 'impart' any knowledge to them. ahhh well.... i know for one that if i ever become an educator or as grace calls it, educational consultant i will want to be like ms koh. well, it's like i really enjoyed gp in cj, she made it an interesting and fun subject. at the same time we didn't joke around all the time and got 2 essays done and a compre. that's pretty good for first 3 months considering some students in jcs don't even write any essay for the first 3 months. nice as she is, when she first stepped into class she made clear her no-nonsense stand. work is work, play is play. i guess that's the best way to work with students nowadays... very few teachers can manage to be nice and get things done. mrs alex is a fine example of how well-liked a teacher can be and respected, which is so so rare nowadays. most students do well or find it easier to do well in a subject when they like the teacher teaching it. makes sense right? likewise my love for gp was spurred by the various english teachers i had that made english fun, mrs lee, mrs alex and mrs nicks.

okay, i think i'm digressing... well, back to the topic. what really makes ms koh stand out among the young teachers i know is that she nice and yet gets things done. you can joke around with her and all but when it comes to work, it's serious stuff. like when my class was writing a compo, the air around us was, -poof- serious. no talking and blah blah. well, edith can tell us more about how no-nonsense she is. well anyway, my class, 1t28 actually ponned dunno how many lessons after results were out to go for 'class outings' hahaa, quite hilarious. there was one occassion when we ponned to go to sixth ave. to eat ice cream and coffee/ tea at coffeebean and yes, the yummy chicken at cold storage... that was our lil heaven. so there we were a bunch of us going to 'escape' school but some idiot teacher was looking at us from above. obviously we were not that stupid to walk out and get caught (not nice getting tangled with discipline gum) we walked to the library which was next to the exit. ahh... then we saw ms koh..... she said hi to us and even asked us whether we were going for her lesson later, cos if we're not she'll show a movie to those 2 or 3 that went for every lesson. like, she knew we were gonna pon school.... and she didn't tell on us. like, if it were high pants or teapot, they'll def. tell on us. but she didn't... i want to be a teacher that weighs what is best.... if you tell on students (even though were wrong here) we won't be bothered to learn even more (since we were already so bo chap about lessons since results were out). in the end.... my classmates and i went back for chinese and gp, we had to go back for chinese because our chinese teacher, high pants was out home tutor. like blah...

i don't know what to say but i truly miss cj and that if i ever become a teacher. do send your kids to the school i'm teaching in. rest assured i'll be a good teacher..... not just good but an excellent one.
