i woke up at 0925 today and i had a dental appointment at 0930. somehow i managed to rush there at 0940, and yes i did wash up and all. i got a free temperature check there, apparently ndc set up this station to check patients temperatures and all... well, sars, sars, like i hate this epidemic, it sucks to the core. when i went to see my dentist, she was armed for battle, with full armour and all.... just kidding, but honestly yah, if she did have a syringe in her hand i would think she's a soldier going to fight the sars virus..... haha, since i just woke up, i had real big eyebags due to lack of sleep and all, i think i looked sick, so she was like are you sick that kinda thing. i should have coughed and sneeze and say my holiday and hong kong was fabulous, hahaaa, that would have scared her! but i'm not that mean....
on the serious note....
the sars virus is affecting everyone in singapore. not meaning they contracted it but the way of life has undoubtedly change. people tend to be over paranoid, e.g. not even daring to touch the handrails of escalators and doors. some have even gone to the extent of wearing face masks. it is an epidemic, a virus, and it's deadly. however, people have become overly paranoid with their precautions, like it becomes a mental barrier that obstructs them from conversing with people preoperly. they become wary of strangers and acquantainces to the extent that they are no more themselves. i guess it is only fair to say that it is justified because little is known how the virus spreads, it seems that as long as you come into contact with an infected person, the likelihood of you contracting it is tenfold. well, i just hope that this epidemic will blow over quick, the world is too troubled now, with a war against iraq, what it needs is more positive things to happen, not an epidemic.
i just wish for peace, honestly....
